2023 9th International Conference on Computing and Artificial Intelligence (ICCAI 2023)

2023 9th International Conference on Computing and Artificial Intelligence (ICCAI 2023) is hosted by Tiangong University, co-organized by Tianjin University, Nankai University, Tianjin Normal University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Beijing University of Technology, Hebei University of Technology, and CETC Key Laboratory of Aerospace Information Applications. The conference was held in a hybrid mode of online and onsite in Tianjin, China during March 17-20, 2023. More than 200 delegates from Sweden, China, USA, Maylaysia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Japan, Philippines, etc. participated in the conference. ICCAI 2023 is an international conference devoted specifically to facilitate synergies in research and development in the areas of Computing and Artificial Intelligence. It provides the communication platform for those who are leading experts and scholars in Computing and Artificial Intelligence from around the world.

During the conference, the General Chair-Prof. Zhitao Xiao from Tiangong University hosted the opening ceremony, the Vice President-Prof. Yi Liu from Tiangong University and the General Chair-Prof. Jie Yang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University delivered the Opening Remarks.

Prof. Jimmy Liu from Southern University of Science and Technology, Prof. Li Li from Tsinghua University, and Prof. Ruikang Wang from University of Washington shared their research work by keynote speeches. Assoc. Prof. Qiufeng Wang from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Assoc. Prof. Wei Liu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Assoc. Prof. Yun Gu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Prof. Le Wu, Hefei University of Technology, Assoc. Prof. Weiwei Du from Kyoto Institute of Technology, Assoc. Prof. Mengting Hu from Nankai University, and Assoc. Prof. Congduan Li from Sun Yat-sen University delivered invited talks.

A Roundtable Dialogue named “Medicine, Engineering and Science in Ophthalmology” was held successfully. It is hosted by Prof. Zhitao Xiao from Tiangong University, Prof. Jimmy Liu from Southern University of Science and Technology, Prof. Jie Yang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Prof. Xiaofei Wang from Beihang University, Prof. Xiaoli Xing from Tianjin Medical University Eye Hospital, Dr. Yining Dai from Shanxi Eye Hospital, Dr. Chen Zhang from Tianjin Medical University Eye Hospital and other delegate guests actively participated in the discussion.

15 oral sessions and one poster session were successfully held under the joint efforts of session chairs and all presenters. They are broadly grouped in topics on "Artificial Intelligence and Engineering Application", "Object Detection", "Medical Imaging Technology and Machine Vision", "Data Analysis and Calculation Model in Information System", "Image Segmentation and Recognition Technology", "Image Analysis and Data Calculation", "Information Model and Data Analysis", "Intelligent Control System and Information Technology Based on AI", "Image Analysis and Calculation", "Language Model and Text Analysis", "Intelligent Algorithm Design and Optimization Calculation", "Machine Learning in Image Processing", "Machine Vision and Image Detection", "Data Detection and Measurement", Image and Speech Recognition", and poster session"Image Detection and Communication Engineering”. Experts and scholars from different countries and regions shared and reported their research results. Finally, 15 Best Oral Presentations were selected by Session Chairs. Based on the evaluation of the organizing committee, 2 papers were selected and awarded as the Best Paper. The General Chair-Prof. Hiroshi Fujita from Gifu University hosted the Closing Ceremony and announced the Best Paper Award.
