Special Session 3： AI-Driven Virtual Worlds, Synthetic Data, and Intelligent Game Technologies

Recent advances in artificial intelligence, computer vision, computer graphics, and game engine technologies are transforming the creation and application of interactive virtual environments. This special session aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working on AI-driven virtual world generation, synthetic data production, intelligent game technologies, real-time rendering, and computer-vision-enabled interactive systems. It will provide a platform for discussing novel methods, tools, and applications that connect game development technologies with artificial intelligence and computer vision research.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

1. AI-driven virtual world generation
2. Synthetic data generation for computer vision
3. Game engines for AI and computer vision research
4. Generative AI for games and interactive media
5. Procedural content and 3D asset generation
6. Real-time rendering and neural rendering
7. Intelligent game development tools and pipelines
8. Computer vision for games and virtual environments
9. Digital twins and simulation environments
10. Reinforcement learning in virtual worlds
11. AI-assisted animation and character generation
12. Extended reality, metaverse, and immersive systems
13. Human–computer interaction in virtual environments
14. Serious games and game-based learning
15. Applications of AI-generated virtual environments

Special session proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic, its uniqueness, and qualifications of the proposers. Accepted special sessions will be listed on the ICCAI 2027 website. To avoid multiple special sessions covering similar topics, it is likely that an accepted proposal will be combined with similar proposals. Organizers should not contribute more than one paper for the special session.

              ●  Submission of papers for Special Sessions: Nov. 10, 2026
              ●  Notification of papers acceptance: Nov. 30, 2026
              ●  Deadline for camera-ready papers: Dec. 10, 2026

The papers should be formatted following the submissionn instructions. They should be submitted through the regular online submission system and will undergo the same peer-review process as regular papers. Proponents of special sessions are invited to submit their proposals in pdf attached to an email to the address: iccai@vip.163.com, with the Subject line: ‘Special Session Proposal’.
